Meet the Doctor

Dr. Dipika Shah is one of the select group of dentists in the nation to receive the prestigious Fellowship, Master and Life Long Learning and Service Award from Academy Of General Dentistry. She is a past President of Monmouth-Ocean County Dental Society and Board of Trustee, Past Trustee at NJDA. Alternate delegate at ADA.

Adorning the walls of her dental office are dozens of awards and certificates Dr. Shah has earned over the years. They include letters signed by President George Bush and Governor of NJ Chris Christi honoring her for dental services she has donated and other charity work in the community.

“I live and breath good caring and quality dentistry,” stated Dr. Shah and “part of that requires keeping abreast with new technology and staying current with advances through continuing education taught by top-notch industry leaders and scientists. I spent my most awaken hours in my office, so this is my boat, and this is my vacation home when I spend money on new technology.

“My return on investment is not money. It is when my patient is happy, relieving pain, giving them a great smile, or to hear them say nice things about me- that’s what makes my day.”

Much of that technology is aimed at making patients feel less stressed or anxious by giving attention to every detail. We are one of the first dental offices to have Ergo-Soothe massaging chairs, each room with TV, integrated with computers and headphones for patients entertainment and each chair faces large windows with a view.

We have state-of-the-art LED chair light to illuminate oral cavity for better diagnosis, 3D digital x-ray machine- like a Mercedes’ of the office for a sharper more detailed 3D view showing details to diagnose the quality and quantity of bone, abnormalities, vital structure near surgical sites, oral cancer lesions, and a lot more. Dr. Shah has made the investments in a very expensive noiseless electric drill, lasers, air abrasion, Cavitron, and many other technological advancements for patients’ care and comfort.

Being a mother, Dr. Shah knows how moms sometimes sacrifice their own health when they get too busy and can not find a baby sitter. Also, we see the entire family, and that means we see lots of kids. So she has equipped Kid’s room with television, toys, video games, books, and magazines, in close proximity to the front office staff to keep an eye on them. Dr. Shah also wants to make sure that her little kid’s patients do not ever fear to go to the Dentist and look forward to going on a field trip to Dr. Shah’s office filled with fun.

Dr. Shah believes that clear communication and honesty are very vital to my patient’s oral health. Dr. Shah always explains to her patients RABC- risk, alternative, benefit, and cost and likes to educate her patients about the importance of caring for their teeth and how to care for their teeth.
